You understand a subject much better when you can explain it to someone else. That’s why this website serves both as a potential educational resource for others and as a tool for my own learning and growth—what Jung might have called a means of individuation.
Part of this learning process involves reading material that isn’t strictly Jungian but explores similar themes. Expanding our perspective is essential, as Jung’s work is not an absolute truth. We must consider his ideas within the context of his time and approach them with a critical, even skeptical, mindset. Doing so also requires engaging with contemporary views on mental health.
Furthermore, as Jung often noted, the collective psyche expresses itself through art, sublimating desires and psychological structures into creative works. For this reason, the reviews on this site may also include fiction that I find particularly interesting from a Jungian perspective.
